Discovering Meditations That Work For You

 

After discussing with colleagues the many misconceptions about meditation, "doing it right", "doing it here or there", or in "a certain way" I was inspired to put together a short course “Discovering Meditations That Work For You”.

 

There are so many variations of meditation (like there are diets and fitness regimes) that what will suit one person may not necessarily suit another.  What might be ideal in your twenties may differ in your forties.  What feels good when we are well and strong may be very different to what suits us when we're ill or under chronic stress.  So, with this in mind, during our time together we’ll experiment with a number of different short meditation practices and then explore our experiences.

 

The course has been divided into four sessions, and will be ideal for anyone who wants to try meditation for the first time, those with a monkey mind or anyone who may be after new ideas to inspire a more regular meditation practice. 

 

Each session will be fun, informal and interactive.   My intention is to provide a space that invites us to be playful, curious and learn more about ourselves in a kind and gentle way.   My aim is that you will have practiced a number of methods (they will be different each week) and you will leave inspired to start up or rejuvenate your current practice.

 

Sessions will last for one-hour and for four-weeks.  

You’re welcome to join in one, two or all.

TIME:

10.00 - 11.00am

 

COURTESY TO OTHERS:

Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time.  I will start the session promptly at 10.00am if you arrive after that then you will need to wait in reception until the mid way point at 10.30am before joining in.

 

It will be requested that phones are turned off during the session.

 

You may like to bring a scarf or small blanket to rest over your shoulders as the A/C in my office may be cold for some.
